Northern Kakadu
This is the region of Kakadu along the Arnhem Highway that ends in Jabiru with its visitor centre, shopping and accommodation. The region includes the West, South and East Alligator River and is renown for its extensive flood plains, tidal rivers and billabongs. Check out Ubirr at sunset.
Southern Kakadu
The region of Kakadu that extends along the Kakadu Highway and includes Nourlangie, Yellow Waters, Jim Jim and Mary River. This area is known for its spectacular waterfalls that tumble down from the escarpment into deep, cool pools.
